Story

History of Adi Rani Tribal Queen Contest

A year back in the “Temple City of Bhubaneswar”, Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, a Social Women Entrepreneur was driven by the extraordinary dream to visually perceive a day when people all over the world will recognize and appreciate the tribal talent. Like many of us, Dr. Chidatmika, too was upset when she discerned disparities between tribal people and others. She hated to see tribal people didn’t get equal recognition and respect in the society and were always considered as rearwards. She took the initiative to bring the change in the society where tribal people's identity and talent will get equal importance and respect in society.

In 2018 Dr. Chidatmika founded the Adi Tribal Foundation which will work for betterment and upliftment of Tribal People. It is very difficult to change people's mindsets. It was tough for me as well when I talked with people about the idea to give the single tribal women talents to be recognized, rather as a group which has been going on since long. I was feeling standing alone with my concept. It's a say if you are positive and determines with your cause then God comes to help you. That is exactly what has happened with me there was few people who stood with me like a pillar they are the living angels for me at that period. They are Mr. Bhagawat Tripathy, whom I call him Bhishma pitamah, Mr. Sanjay Das, a lovely brother for me, Mr. Debasis Padhi a lovely Individual and a good human being of a positive mindset and a lovely sister Mrs. Kalpana Mishra those who stand like a success pillar behind the Adi Rani.No Words left with me to tell them that ks because "Thanks" one word cannot satisfy my heart feeling. so we created a group called "Secrete Pandavas". We Five now together taking it to forward the "Adi Rani 2019" to Global Level. No doubt this baby is conserved by me but delivered by Secret Pandavas together. has commenced the revolution in the form of Adi Rani Tribal Queen Contest (A Unique Talent Search for Tribal Talent across India). The Adi Rani Tribal Queen Contest was concluded in 2 phases (Semi Finale and Grand Finale) in which more than 100 girls have participated in the first phase out of which top 20 girls got the chance to perform in the Grand Finale which was organized at Utkal Mandap Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 24th June 2018. This unique initiative and concept have made the dreams of many tribal girls come true and give them a great platform to showcase their tribal tradition, culture, and talent of their tribal community ecumenical.

All through the arduous times, it was Dr. Chidatmika’s passion, dedication, and strenuous exertion which is the reason for the prosperity of the Adi Rani Tribal Queen Contest. She puts all her effort to convince people to abstract the barrier of inequality between tribal communities and others. With her team Dr. Chidatmika will perpetuate this initiative every year and will be the transmuting factor that will revolutionize the identity of tribal communities ecumenical.

TRIBAL WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

When we verbalize about diversity the most conspicuous country name comes to our mind is India. India is a land of diversity and one of the most ethnically diverse nations of the world. In such diverse nation women play a very crucial role and equal contribution to the development of the country because they are part of all economic activities. But because we have unnecessarily categorized our nation into majority and minority communities we have slowed the process of our nation’s development.

For a country like India to perpetuate its rapid development the contribution of women and girls is equally consequential in all economic activities and their education is the game-changer for the nation’s development. In this modern era still due to discrimination faced by women and girls predicated on sundry factor costs them their education and they become facile targets for people and get themselves indulged into unnecessary labor. It our obligation to provide them a good education so that they can contribute to nation-building.

The women and girls from tribal communities are facing the quandary of discrimination, inequality, etc. every day, and people are dominating them on the sundry ground because they belong to minorities and didn’t give them enough opportunities to prove themselves and showcase their talents. The tribal girls and women didn’t get a platform to boost their skills and talents and hence they fail to change the picture from people’s minds about how they look minorities. Adi Rani Tribal Queen Competition is the platform for all girls and women from all tribal communities to showcase their talent ecumenical and boost their skills so that they can proudly contribute to nation-building. We give them the opportunity to get a congruous education and develop themselves. We provide them a golden chance to engender their unique identity in society and elate us ecumenical.

The history of tribal communities is usually seen as a group in the whole of the world. Adi Rani is a unique initiative for the 1st time in Indian history where a single tribal woman stands in front of 1000 people and proved that she is talented and her beauty lies beyond just good looks. She is "Swayamsiddha" (Sarba Guna Sampurna), which means Self-sufficient.

Donate now to make these women and girls contribute to nation-building and help them to create their unique identity.
