We have set up Haridwar's first shelter for stray dogs, but need your help to keep it running. With more than 150 dogs in total, 50+ dogs who need regular medical care, and 20 new accident cases each week. We need funds to build an isolation ward to properly screen and treat all new puppies and dogs so that they don't spread infections and diseases to resident dogs. We also require a vehicle to rescue dogs from the streets and get their treatments done. Please read our story and come forward to help our beautiful fur babies!
 Helping Hands for Speechless Souls is an NGO run by the amazing Kanwaljeet, who has loved and cared for strays since she was a little girl. In the absence of NGOs, shelters, and veterinary clinics, she was the only person in the entire Haridwar area who was willing to take care of abandoned and stray dogs. Fast forward to January 2022 - Kanwaljeet was given land by the local government to set up Haridwar's first and only dog shelter, in recognition of her unwavering determination and commitment to the welfare of strays.While this has been a huge milestone, it has also meant a massive surge of strays entering the shelter each week. Today, the shelter houses 150+ dogs, 50 of whom require regular serious medical attention. Another 25 newborns and critical cases are cared for at Kanwaljeet's home. The shelter receives at least 20 new accident cases each week. It has become impossible to keep the shelter running and provide the needed medical care to the dogs through a visiting veterinarian.
