We sisters, Saumya Shinde and Sanmyukta Shinde, are the teen fellows of Orikalankini 's 13 week Global fellowship.
We have started Project Sachetna which works towards the cause of personalising feminism to suit each person's individual and cultural context. We are also trying to dismantle the patriarchy, toxic masculinity, sexism, internalized misogyny and the rape culture. We are trying to do this via various methods.
One of the methods we are trying to achieve our goals is by supporting those organisations whose work resounds with us!
The all-women team of lawyers and social workers meet with victims and explain the process and procedures involved in a court case. They are also told about all the legal, public, and private schemes that they have access to. Further legal help is provided depending upon the case.
Donations to this program will be used for legal documentation and processes expenses as well as personnel salaries of lawyers fighting for sexual violence victims.
For this noble and much needed cause we are trying to raise 2,50,000 rs within the next 10 months!
Doing this will set our friends, families and children free from the shackles of ignorance, injustice and inequity. This will help in ending the age old pattern of silence and apathy.
