My family and I are suffering since more than two months. I had two sons who lived in Malaysia. My elder son Anupam Soni lived with his family along with my younger son Abhinav. On 21st April, 2021 Anupam experienced severe back pain. He went for his health check up as per doctor's suggestion and was diagnosed as COVID POSITIVE.
Due to the severity of his symptoms, he was quickly hospitalised at Gleneagles Hospital, Kuala Lumpur. The medical expense of my elder son was approx. Rs 3 lakhs per day in INR value. He was hospitalised for 10 days. For us my son was more than any thing and I managed some how and paid Rs 10 Lakhs though i am a retired person ,remaining bill of approximately 20 lakhs is pending and to be paid . But unfortunately we lost our elder son on May 1st, 2021.
While taking care of my elder son, my younger son Abhinav also got infected with COVID and was hospitalised at government hospital in kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on April 29, 2021. After a long battle he started his recovery and got discharged on June 3, 2021. But all of sudden on June 8 his health condition started deteriorating and he was again hospitalised at sunway medical center in selangor due to post covid-complications including damage in the kidneys, vision and eye problems, extreme bed sores leading to bacterial infection and most extremely a superbug in his bloodstream that has made antibiotics redundant.
The hospital said that the average expense of his treatment will cost approx. Rs 1 lakh per day in INR value. Today is 27th June, 2021 and he is still hospitalised. Doctors say he will take 3-4 weeks to fully recover. Only after full recovery he will be discharged.
As my wife and I cannot reach Malaysia to take care of Abhinav due to this pandemic, we are trying to bring him to India for treatment. We don't know if the doctors there are putting their full effort for betterment of my son. As we already lost our elder, we are very much concerned for my younger son.
Also, at the time of admission in the hospital he lost his PASSPORT..but the Indian embassy also understood our situation and issued emergency certificate so that he can visit INDIA...we are trying our best to bring him back and get treatment in our city.
At this moment I am appealing to all of you, who so ever is reading this...please help me with funds for the medical expenses of my son...As a retired person I am going through an extremely difficult time.
