I’m Abhinav Kankane, a 3rd-year undergraduate student pursuing Chemical Engineering at IIT M, and I recently got selected as one of the 300 delegates from around the world for the HPAIR 2019 conference (Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations) conducted by the Harvard University at Cambridge.
This would be a great opportunity for me to meet people from diverse backgrounds and different geographical areas, and gain new perspectives on thinking. I truly believe that the insights gained from here would be valuable for a lifetime, which would eventually help me create an impact in the society. Based on them, some of those ideas could be implemented at the institute-level itself, to benefit all parties.
I have known a few seniors, who have attended similar conferences, and the inputs gained by them have been very valuable, and helped achieve success in their respective fields of interests. The network that HPAIR provides would also lead to fruitful collaborations and mentorship in the future.
I have always been passionate about attending such conferences, and experience first-hand the exposure that they provide, but I could never finance it myself. The approximate cost of attending HPAIR 2019 at Boston is shown below:
