    This fundraiser will benefit

    Aafreen Parveen

    from Munger, Bihar

Aafreen Parveen is a 13 yo girl who lost her father while she was quite young. She lived her life in poverty with her father dead and mother being a house maid (bai). And as if this was not enough, life decided to torture her even more and suddenly it was diagnosed thay she has Choroid plexus carcinoma, high grade glioma, and Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor.

It started with a serious headache and  vomiting and over two months it developed to include eye vision problem.

Upon doing a CT Scan of her head it was revealed to be an "Ill defined heterogeneous hypodense lesion in left temporo-parietal and gangliocapsular region with significant perilesional edema and mass effect which suggests a possibility of high grade glioma/metastasis." Further Contrast MRI was recommended.

At this point all the people in the colony collected a sum of Rs 16,000 to help her get an MRI. And she was sent to the closest big town Bhagalpur for MRI.

The differentials of MRI being Choroid plexus carcinoma, high grade glioma and Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor.
"Mass effect is seen over left lateral and third ventricles with midline shift to right by 6mm. Mild dilation of right lateral ventrical is seen. The lesion show hemorrhagic foci within. The lesion measures 6.8 x 5.0 x 4 cm (AP x TR x CC). There is diffused cerebral and cerebellar edema. There is descending transtentorial herniation with compression of midbrain."

Now we are unable to collect enough money to even send her to a proper hospital, currently she is admitted in government hospital in Munger. We are planning to take her to CMC, Vellore but for that we need funds. And this lockdown is proving to be a threat to her life.

Please help this poor girl who hasn't even begun her life, your donation can help a child live.
We need the money fast coz time is of the essence and delaying the treatment can end her life.
