Govt. Schools in rural and remote Himachal need your help..
Should a child's destiny be different, mainly WORSE just because he or she is born in a remote, not that EASILY accessible village of the country and not in a metro like Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore? Should they be denied their most basic right to Quality Education?
Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh has been declared as a backward district by Government of India in November, 2018. Our first intervention is in Village Tribhol,Kihar Valley, Salooni Town of Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh and Salooni is one of the remotest and most backward areas of Chamba. It has been observed that the interiors of the country have been ignored due to inaccessibility and its remoteness. They remain segregated and are not at par with the rest of the country in terms of the development work that has been going. The communities in such areas remain unaware and somewhat compromise with whatever is provided or available. The educational system shows a lot of scope of improvement and lacks the pedagogy for intrinsic engagement of the students along with a fruitful teaching-learning environment.
Most primary schools in Kihar village have a single teacher teaching grades 1-5. If you are reading this imagine the range of the learning levels of kids, they have no access to quality learning. We endeavor towards quality learning environment in schools, preparing local youth and placing them as facilitators in the classrooms leading to improved learning for students so that they are prepared for life; better living opportunities and scenarios for community members and youth by providing exposure to different avenues for sustainability. Aafaaq Foundation works in remote places of the country with communities enabling them to become self-sustainable through education and employment.
We at Aafaaq Foundation with TYCIA, Turn Your Concern Into Actions as our Incubation Organisation have launched our first crowdfunding campaign. TYCIA is committed to empower the most vulnerable sections of society through education and training. Around 10.000 lives have today been impacted by the TYCIA’s efforts. Please support us by donating and inspiring others to donate. Spread this as much as possible... The funds that we raise will be utilized for creating a conducive environment for learning in schools for eg, gathering teaching aids, relevant resources like books, projectors, sports equipment training of youth that we employ as teachers in the schools and their salaries.
