This is for a street dog, who lives in our neighbourhood. For the last 5-6 days, he hasn't eaten anything. The veterinarian has diagnosed it as 'canine distemper'. For the past three days, he is only having saline, IV injections and medicine.
As of now, we (my family and myself) alone are taking care of everything, physically and financially, and he is sheltered in our verandah. So far, we have spent more than INR 4500, and per-day-costs are about INR 1000. Even the doctor isn't sure about his recovery, but we intend to keep trying as long as possible. My father is retired and I am out of a job and it is not easy for us.
