Teach For India is a nationwide movement of leaders dedicated to providing an excellent education for low-income & under-resourced students through strategic support & organizational direction.
In one of the many batches all across the country, there is one in SDMC Primary Simple School, Arjun Nagar, Delhi, where 36 dreamy-eyed students strive to do something extraordinary. However, ever since the advent of Covid-19, offline classes couldn't be conducted. Now, every aspiration looks like a pipe dream, since most of them can't afford even the most rudimentary models of smartphones, which would enable them to attend online classes.
Therefore, Rotaract SSCBS, the youth chapter of Rotary International, is organizing a fundraiser, to help these students in need and provide them with smartphones at a low cost of up to ₹4000. Various events such as Chess, Tambola, and Artist Performances would also be conducted to collect funds. We would try to wrap up the fundraiser by 15th August 2021, since smartphones would be available at a low cost up till then only.
Therefore, we need your help to not let go of such an unsurmountable talent to waste. Let's eliminate all technological barriers to provide an equitable education. We request you all to share this story through all your social media handles as much as possible so that the children get the help they deserve.
