Support 52 Parindey Fellowship and co-create pathways for pursuing Alivelihoods!!
The 52 Parindey Fellowship is an 18 weeks long programme for youth exploring meaningful and regenerative livelihoods (Alivelihoods), and dreaming of a sustainable, equitable, and just world.
For the fellows, it serves as an immersive on-ground learning experience to explore Alivelihoods of their choice by travelling, living with and documenting the life journeys of Alivelihood practitioners (Parindeys) engaged in socially and ecologically conscious pursuits. It provides them with practical understanding in the domain areas of their interest (such as Conservation, Education, Food Systems, etc.). It will create avenues for their personal growth as the fellows lead a journey of self-exploration, helping them understand ground realities, shaping their worldviews, and paving way to take affirmative actions.
The 8 Fellows have commenced their journey to travel to 52 locations across India documenting the life stories of 52 Parindeys. The programme will run from 10th September, 2021 to 15th January, 2022.

Programme Outcomes:
Fellows Expenses: This covers the total stipend of INR 40,000 for each fellows, 10 Days orientation and reflection workshop to be conducted for them along with Welcome & Travel Kits, Journals and Postcards, that have been developed for their explorative journeys.
Operational Expenses: This covers the remunerations for Social Media handling, Video Editing, Stories Translation, Sahyatri Foundation Team personnel, along with the team travel, stationary and administrative costs.
Book Publishing Expenses: This covers the Book Editing, Proof-Reading and Publishing of 500 copies of the final book.

About Sahyatri Foundation:
Sahyatri Foundation is a NGO registered as a Section-8 company that provides experiential learning opportunities to individuals in multiple domains through travel as a medium, documents knowledge systems and publish books and multimedia regarding the same.
The youth today are facing plural challenges such as lack of meaningful and fulfilling employment opportunities, environmental degradation and depletion of resources. More and more youth are looking for livelihood options that they align spiritually and emotionally with, livelihoods that make them feel “alive” as they pursue them.
Impact:
The larger intention of the fellowship is to educate youth about the various Alivelihoods oriented towards social and ecological well-being by documenting best practices, sharing pathways to pursue them, providing access to a network of mentors, and creating spaces for dialogue among the masses. This will act as a catalyst in making these Alivelihoods more visible and acceptable among the youth at large, preparing a foundation for them to pursue the Alivelihoods of their interest.

We are raising a fund of INR 11,00,000 for the programme. The breakup of the programme expenses is as below:
