Puri the holy city of Odisha, India where there are so many families coming from different states to earn money. They have no Permanent houses. They are living with their family members in very unhealthy situations in the urban slums with thatched houses. Due to lock down for Corona Virus now they are in a very critical situation. Day after day it will became critical for them to feed their family. There are so many slums in Puri Municipality. All of them are immigrant communities. Most of them are Rikshaw puller, street vendor, Daily wage labour, Waste Picker etc. They have no permanent house, Ration card and valid Adhar Card. They are earning for just hand to mouth. Due Nation wide Lock down in India they lost their livelihood and are living here without food. They just managed their family for 2/3 days from their savings. In Puri there is a Slum namely Tarini Basti which is situated in the back side of GOVT. ITI College where more than 100 families are living in thatched houses. Among them 100 families are Plastic Waste Pickers who immigrated from west bengal. Everyday both husband and wife of each family collects Plastic wastes from Railway station, Bus stand, temples, hotels etc. and sells it to the Kabadiwala in the evening. From the daily earning they feed their family. After Lock down they are unable to feed their family. We all knows both state and Central Govt. are declaring new new assistance for the pro poor families of the society. But unfortunately these families are unable to get these, because of non availability of Ration card and valid Adhar card.
So in this critical Situation We want to Support these 100 families in the shape of 7 days ration and vegetable like potato and onion. The Detailed item wise Budget estimation per family given bellow.

Funds Utilization Plan:- At present we have the list of 100 waste picker families. During the summer cyclone FANI we have distributed Relief to them. We have procurement policy in our Organization. According to it we will obtain 3 or more quotation form vendors before purchase of materials. We will form a purchase committee, distribution committee for smooth management of the programme. We have good rapport with the local administration. Before distribution we will contact with them and will do every thing with their proper guidance. We will submit the utilization certificate as per the instruction of Milaap.
We hope this small support will bring smile in faces of 100 poor needy families.
