9 months old Shivansh, at a very early age of 3 months, was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease- Large Ventricular Septal Defect. He is at an age where he should be enjoying his childhood but life has had some other challenges in store for him.
A ventricular septal defect (VSD), a hole in the heart, is a common heart defect that's present at birth (congenital). The hole (defect) occurs in the wall (septum) that separates the heart's lower chambers (ventricles) and allows blood to pass from the left to the right side of the heart. The oxygen-rich blood then gets pumped back to the lungs instead of out to the body, causing the heart to work harder.
Atrial and ventricular septal defects are among the most common heart birth defects. Ventricular septal defect (VSD) symptoms in a baby may include: Poor eating, failure to thrive, Fast breathing or breathlessness, Easy tiring, etc. Large ventricular septal defects can cause a range of disabilities from mild to life threatening. To make a living, his father Sachin Kumar works as a daily wager in Sahranpur, UP with a monthly pay of 5-6 thousand. They have already exhausted all their savings. Shivansh’s parents want to give him, a lively and happy child, his best chance to not only survive, but also live a fulfilled, long and normal life. The baby is currently admitted and receiving treatment at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi.
Even a small amount from your end will make a huge difference for Shivansh’s Life. Please come forward to support the cause.
