Hamari Pahchan has launched the Sukhad Campaign wherein we are striving to provide 50,000 Sukhad Kits to underprivileged women. Each kit contains 24 packets of pads, 6 soaps and 50-60 disposal envelopes.

97% of the menstruating population in rural India still uses old clothes for pads. Only 36% of the 336 million menstruating women in India use sanitary napkins. With the coming of Covid-19 crisis, this number underwent a dramatic decline.
During the Covid-19 era, menstrual hygiene was forced to take a back seat. Struggling to acquire even one meal a day, many women went back to their old menstrual customs of using ash or hay wrapped in cloth. As per a research, currently more than 11 crore adolescent girls are vulnerable to poor menstrual hygiene.
The current efforts of the government and a few individuals alone will not suffice. This evidently requires contribution by each one of us.
We at Hamari Pahchan seek to raise menstrual health awareness among menstruators, as well as other sections of the society. The primary goal is to break down the taboo around menstruation. We want to normalize period conversations not just among adolescent females, but among their families as well.
Majority of us are privileged enough to not realize the need of proper access to menstrual hygiene. But we must, because there are millions out there looking for our support.
