    This fundraiser will benefit

    for training the blind people

    from New Delhi, Delhi

Like most of us the visually impaired also have such psychological “blind spots”, aspects of their personalities that are obvious to everyone but themselves. They are far better than they know and once they are made to see that, they will settle for nothing less in life.

The Summit 2021 aims to do just that in association with the Cricket Association for the Blind in India.
Within the event, a team of visually impaired students shall take part in a team-building and leadership summit alongside a destination cricket match in the hills. This shall allow the use of sports and the great outdoors to help them explore their true potential as synergistic Leaders, putting to use- The cognitive, physiological, and social benefits of sport for people with visual impairment.
A 4-day training camp is being organized by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and the Himalayan Adventure Institute (HAI) for 20 members of the Women’s team of Cricket Association for Blind in Delhi (CABD) in which players will be trained on leadership qualities along with other capacity-building aspects of a team. Furthermore, a sensitizing match shall be held between the CABD-Women’s team and an HAI team to help in spreading awareness about cricket for the blind, and overall sports involvement for the visually impaired and differently-abled.

“Inclusion is a Right not a Privilege for a select few”
As the Volunteer Student coordinator for fundraising and the organization of the summit, I truly stand by these words, in my very own little efforts to help support such a notable project that I believe could have a great contribution with regards to sensitizing people towards the visually impaired, and give many the opportunity to understand how they’re just like us if only they are given the platform they require to present themselves.

I wholeheartedly believe that the Summit 2021, would be able to pave the way and provide just that platform to these 20 team members of the CABD team, allowing them to immerse themselves into activities and experiences that would last a lifetime, and help them develop both as sportspersons and more importantly, individuals.
For the successful implementation of such a trip, that could truly help nurture these 20 players, The Cricket Association for the Blind and the Himalayan Adventure Institute greatly encourage and appreciate individual fundings and donations that could each bring us even closer to making this summit a reality!

With your help, let’s bring these well-deserving members of the CABD Visually Impaired Women’s cricket team this metamorphic experience, one that they shall cherish forever, an experience with impactful values and life-skills that shall benefit them throughout the rest of their lives…

Let’s make Summit 2021 a reality!
