Slipper /chappal distribution for kids at traffic signals
We are a group of Volunteers based in Noida . we have worked with organisations Like Goonj – www.goonj.org ; Oxfam India etc. Presently we are associated with an Orphanage in Noida – ‘mala smriti home ‘ – www.malasmritihome.com
We are planning to launch another initiative to take care of basic needs of children living
On streets and begging/working at Traffic signals .
Many of these kids do not have slippers/chappals/shoes and hence carry out their daily routine barefooted and in a very inconvenient and painful way .
This discomfort due to lack of footwear adds on to their misery
In extremely hot summers and chilly winters of Delhi NCR .
We plan to undertake this one time footwear distribution across Traffic signals
In Delhi /Noida and cover around 1000 kids in the age group of 4-9 years .
We estimate a costing of around Rs 120000 ( Rs 120 per kid) including the logistics .
We plan to do it in a span of around a month .
All expense details shall be recorded/maintained and available for auditing/scrutiny anytime
