I'm Lilly, i grew up in Kerala and have lived in Bengaluru for most part We are close family and my sister lives nearby , i speak to her frequently . I have a daughter and she is married and lives 200KM from Bengaluru. My husband works and lives in Mumbai. He was diagnosed with oral cancer a few years ago , with operation and therapy he is recovering .
I have been a care giver for a long time , my last family had a cancer patient who eventually lost the battle to the disease .Have seen what cancer does to a person, multiple times!! when i was diagnosed with cancer , it felt unfair , and i was angry and frustrated. I also realised how the patients i cared for would have felt.
It has been more a week,i feel stronger and ready to fight it. It could have been worse, i still have "Hope" to see it through and get back to my normal life ..a care giver to families .. I now pray i find the courage and strength to deal with the realities of life..
Lilly for me ..
is a Loving mother and devoted partner to a cancer surviving husband .. care giver to patients ..a pillar of support to families dealing with life changing medical conditions of their dear and loved ones..
Two weeks ago she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Stage 2. Life has its bitter moments and this is certainly one for Lilly.
We were fortunate to have Lilly come into our lives few months ago as a care giver to my mother. There are miracles , she is one in our lives - bought back smiles and happiness with my mother. We learn from her everyday , her patience and determination has made a big difference in our lives and we cannot thank her enough. This is a very small step we are undertaking for her, raise funds for her treatment.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and your invaluable contribution.
