Gopu and his wife Subbalakshmi rushed their only child to Chennai when local doctors recommended that they admit Srivarsan immediately.
"He was running around, playing normally. Suddenly, he started walking haphazardly while walking towards me and was not able to balance himself." - Gopu, Father of Srivarsan
The 45-year-old father immediately alerted his wife. The couple on speaking with their relatives, immediately took him to the local doctors in Kadallur district, TamilNadu.
"We didn't know what to do. All this came as a sudden shock to us. We left for Chennai immediately," said Gopu, who has been supporting his family by running his own laundry delivery service for 10 years.
"This is a small business. I do this to give my family whatever I can provide them to the best of my abilities and survive. But this is out of my hands. My child has brain cancer and needs surgery. I cannot afford his treatment and that kills me." - Gopu
Srivarsan was diagnosed with a tumor in his brain that later developed into cancer. He was diagnosed in December, last year, and was operated upon immediately. However, post that, due to complications, he was put on a ventilator and is currently being treated with radiotherapy. He has been admitted in Kanchi Kamakoti Hospital, Chennai, TamilNadu.
Gopu has temporarily stopped everything back home and lives with his wife in a relative's house in Chennai, visiting their son religiously every day, most days staying with him at the hospital itself.
"It is extremely hard for us to see him like this. It is even worse that I cannot do anything to save my own son. Please help him. He deserves a chance at life, and I am unable to give him that chance," said Gopu.
Your support can help this little bundle of joy get a chance back at life by getting treated successfully.
