    This fundraiser will benefit

Sri Ramanuja Integrated Rural Development Program

    from Banglaore

On 21st Oct 2018, I ran the Shriram Properties Bengauluru Marathon and completed only because of the high motivation due to all of  you who supported my cause and now I am extending my pledge appeal for another month as I am gearing up to trek upto the Everest Base Camp commencing 16th Nov till Dec 05 to be able to summit a peak Imja Tse (AKA Island Peak) in Nepal at 6,189m /20305 ft and humbly appeal with hope and goodwill to raise funds for Sri Ramanuja Integrated Rural Development Programme(SRIDRP) – an initiative for the upliftment of the people of Thondanur, a village in the Pandavapura Taluk, Mandya district of Karnataka.

To me, running a marathon  or attempting a summit  is all about pushing oneself in unexpected and unforeseen directions. As a first-time full marathon runner, I tested my physical stamina and mental resilience. I’m ran the 42 km distance…. which was many long steps in those short miles and now it will be a long journey in Nepal to view the mighty Mount Everest and attempt to scale the Island Peak nearby.

The reason I decided to participate in this marathon is because I’m trying to raise funds for SRIRDP. I have committed to raise atleast ₹1,00,000/. Thus, I turn to you for support to help me raise the money and cheer me on in my adventure!

To tell you more about the cause which is dear to my heart, SRIDRP is an initiative under the vision of HH Sri Sri Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Narayana Ramanuja Jeeyar, the 41st Pontiff of Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt, an institution founded by Sri Ramanujacharya in the 11th century. The main objective of SRIRDP is to develop 36 villages around Thondanur and start an all-round rural development programme which would cover every aspect of the present rural community situation across Social rehabilitation, Organic Farming, Rural Sanitation (Swatch Bharath), Water Supply, Education and Rural Health Program amongst others.

Over the last year, there have been several programs conducted which include ongoing health camps, diagnostic screening camps, eye camps, distribution of educational aid to deserving students, provision of computers in local schools, tree plantation drive, a massive project towards building a Gou Shala, pension scheme for the aged and needy amongst other noble initiatives.

By participating in this cause, I am looking to raise the funds to help in supporting these several on-going initiatives of SRIRDP.

The funds raised, will be utlized to support the following projects and programmes across capital expenditure required for working with partners, programme/ activity level expenses, build reserve for continual periodicity and general operating expenses.
1) Conduct quarterly health and eye camps
2) Tree plantation and maintenance as part of the organic farming vertical
3) Establishment of a self sustainable Gou Shala
4) To provide financial aid through a pension scheme for 50 needy villagers aged over 60 years and are with no support system.

I’m writing to ask you to support my cause with donations of any amount from a minimum of ₹500/ which can help me cater to the various fund requirements of SRIDRP.

Your donation will go towards SRIRDP initiatives which addresses the multiple rural development projects listed above and particularly the Ramanuja Pension Scheme project which is aimed at providing sustainable financial aid to the aged and helpless.

Needless to mention, this fundraising will establish the first step to a transformation of a village which in-turn shall cascade to all nearby villages, and your writing to relevant contacts and friends emphasizing on the same will extend our tentacles of network to touch lives on either side.

Thank you in advance for your contribution. You really have no idea how much it means to me to have your support.

All donations are soon going to be tax-deductible as the 80G is awaited and will update you about the same.
