I'm Spriha Bhattacharya, a law student interning with Humari Pahchan NGO.
In 2020 when covid hit, all of our lives came to a standstill. We the privileged section were scared about our health and hence we stayed inside for almost a year. Most of us could afford the hefty medical bills even with the cut in our salaries. But have you ever imagined what happened to the underprivileged section of the society. People like beggars, Street hawker ,the rag pickers or our maids suffered the most. Their source of income came to a stop all together. Our societies didn't allow the house keepers to even enter the society. How are they supposed to afford medical help when they can't even afford it, when they are deprived of the basic necessities? Hospitals were fully packed. The hospital were auctioning off beds and medical services for whatever price that came to their mind first. People were dying on the streets. The ghats had the same scenario. Everyone was lording over the patients and extracting money out of their pockets. That is why we saw people just chuck their dead loved ones into the rivers. Picture yourself not being able to give your beloved ones a proper last rite.
This is where we come into being. This great initiative has been taken by Humari Pahchan NGO to help by providing Covid relief to everyone in need. We have already distributed basic amenities needed during this pandemic like masks and sanitizers and conducted vaccine drives too. But it isn't enough. We need your help to make India Covid free.
All you need to do is make a small donation of minimum ₹100 which will be used to help the needy. We at Hamari Pahchan NGO are taking every possible step to help the ones in need. We have pledged to distribute:

Maks
Sanitisers
Thermometer
Medicines
These will help people to self-assess and take the required care and avoid any kind of emergency situation as precautions is better than cure.
We request you all to kindly stay inside and go out unless needed. Maintain social distancing and kindly wear masks. It's for your own safety.
