We are a group of 3 teachers teaching in government and low income private schools of Ahmedabad. Children in our classes come from different communities facing a lot of problem in their day to day life, like poor economical, broken families, poor health, lack of awareness, lack of life skills, alcoholism, smoking addiction are to be named a few. All these problems affect the education of our children in and outside the classroom. Because of which their  attendance drop low, not able to concentrate in class and most importantly they don't see any future for themselves.
One thing that is very common in our students is that they are very enthusiastic and passionate about sports but due to lack of resources they do not get any  training. Their schools do not have playground or any equipment to cater to their needs.

WHAT WE ARE DOING ?
To help our children reach their dreams we have started a project named URJA which aims to solve the problems listed above by investing children in sports and provide them proper sports facilities . We go to different schools and identify students who are interested in sports and provide them proper training and opportunities to help them acquire certain skills that will help them in future. Last year we worked with 4 schools and around 200 children teaching them football. We also provide health education and teach values through sports. Regular medical checkups and BMI tracking is done to make sure that our children are getting better everyday.

WHAT WILL YOU BE CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS ?
Your valuable donation can provide funds to buy sports equipment like football, volleyball, badminton rackets, sport kits (jerseys and shoes), grounds, salary of coaches and organizing tournaments for around 1000 students in 10 schools across Ahmedabad.
The average cost for training a child comes out to be around 9000. The detailed list of expenses is attached below with the campaign.
