Why are we fundraising?
DREAM Run - "YOU Support. WE Run. THEY Win" - A run to add a smile on the face of 3 Special Children...
WE shall be running the Bengaluru Marathon on 16 Oct 2016. During the course of the 21.09 kms run i.e. the Half Marathon, We will be raising funds for DREAM Foundation (an organization I co-founded with my school friends). The funds so raised shall be entirely donated to JSS Sahana - A school for the Specially Abled children, Bengaluru. We have a target of sponsoring the education of 3 special children for the next academic year i.e 2017-18 which comes upto INR 37,500/-.Join hands with us for this noble cause and make this DREAM a reality by adding a smile on the face of these special children who are indeed very special to our society.
Our running team consists of Vikram S Ithal, Karthik Rao and Ajay Simha. Each of our run shall be dedicated towards one special child's education for an entire year.
OBJECTIVE BEHIND THE "DREAM RUN"
We, at DREAM Foundation strongly believe that the specially abled children must be imparted with proper education and get the attention that they deserve. There are many parents of these children who aren’t in a position to educate them and provide them with the facilities they require. Hence there is a need to address this issue which is why educating the Differently Abled kids remains one of our major initiatives.

What do I plan to do with the funds?
The funds so raised shall be ENTIRELY donated to JSS Sahana School for the Specially Abled and the acknowledgement letter for the same shall be sent to all the donors. We will ensure that the entire process is transparent. I would like to thank Milaap for giving us a platform to do something good to the society.FAQs
1. The annual fees is Rs 37,500/- (Rs 12,500 per child) but the target set is Rs 40,500/- Why?The increase in Rs 3000/- is the Transaction charges of 5% and an additional charge of 3% towards payment gateway fees. As a result, Rs 3000/- out of Rs 40,500/- will be towards these charges and the Net Amount raised i.e. Rs 37,500/- will be going towards the Education Fees. 2. Is your contribution entitled for tax exemption u/s 80G of Income Tax Act?
Since our organization is not yet registered, the contributions would not be entitled for tax exemption u/s 80G of Income Tax Act.

Please find below the screenshot of the Registration Mail received from the Bengaluru Marathon organisers confirming our registration for the event and also find the acknowledgment receipt of the donation made towards the "Sponsor-a-Child" initiative for the academic year 2016-17 that was raised by us last year for the same cause through Milaap to support the education of 2 specially abled children.
