Ms.Kamala has been suffering from multiple bone Osteomyelitis for the past 27 years and has gone through 10+ surgeries across different parts of her body. It is extremely painful as the pus develops over time and decaying the bones. She has been living with this pain in the infected parts of her body every day since 27 years. She is now 42. She had to abandon her school at the age of 13, She cant lift moderate items, did not get married, cant do any work continuously for more than 2 hours.   Her bones are so weak, pus discharging out all the time ( she has to stick a cotton to all the infected parts of her body to collect the pus and replace every 5 hours).Then every 6 months one or the other bones became completely fragile resulting in continuous surgeries. A better and permanent solution has been suggested by the doctors recently to replace it with artificial bones.

Her family spent all the money and sold assets they had for her medical treatment. She had some support from her relatives and that's how she has survived so far with all these surgeries. But now she is left with little money and options.

The last surgery she has managed to have a permanent solution was for the right arm. She still needs to undergo surgeries on top of forehead, left arm, right leg.

With this money, she will be able to undergo surgeries for the forehead and left arm initially. The doctors have suggested to do the surgery on the right leg 6 months later for medical reasons.
