I am Dr. P.Ananthakrishna Bhat, M.A.L.L.B.Ph.D, Rtd Professor of Political Science, as such basically an Academician. I hail from rural background and used to love cows and calves right from my younger days. The diminishing number of Cattles, especially indigenous breed (Desi Cows) owing to illegal transportation and inhuman butchering used to perturb me since long. This prompted me and my likeminded friends to start a Gowshala in the year 2000. I have had the pious opportunity to serve as the Founder Secretary of our Govanithasharaya Trust.

It is our humble vision and serene mission to have Philanthropists who can sponsor about 300 Gowmathas by donating Rs15,000 each for a year. Even, sponsorship for more than one cow is most welcome ‘The sum so collected will fully be utilized for ‘Gowgrasa’ (Cow-grass as feeding) as such’ Ofcourse, for the maintenance of Gowshala like payment of salary etc. we may require another 30 Lakh rupees per year. As such we earnestly appeal to fulfil our sincere endeavour.
