Save 150,000 Lives by supporting Change With One Walk

Everyday more than 12000 people dies due to lack of blood in India. Saving millions of lives every year is possible if only 1% more of eligible blood donor donates blood. However the situation is worse and due to which many people are dependent on paid donors or relatives (which is not possible for poor people or who are getting treatment away from their home).

Thats why we created Simply Blood to help those people in time and save every possible potential life in January 2017. We have saved more than 2000 potential lives till date using the platform in more than 11 countries and we have a mission to save 1 million potential lives by 2020.

We saw a huge number of blood donors registering to our platform but the number needs to be improved as the more number of blood donors we have the more number of lives we can save.

Mission:
To save 150,000 potential lives by spreading awareness among people to donate blood.

Why a walk?
This walk will attempt to inspire atleast 150,000 people eligible to donate blood and ask them to take a pledge to donate blood atleast once in their lifetime.  The walk is designed to touch all states and union territories of India, Nepal and Bhutan covering around 15,000 kms in 6 months including metro cities, villages and urban areas of India.

How the funds will be used?
Some part of the funds will be used in purchasing equipments as below:
1) Shoes 3 pairs - Rs. 3000-4000
2) Light weight Portable camp - Rs. 2000-3000
3) Bag Pack - Rs. 2000-3000
Major part of the funds will be used in stay and food as below:
1) Stay - Rs. 300-400 per night means Rs. 9000-12,000 per month and Rs. 36,000-48,000 for next 4 months.
2) Food - As the walk will be very exhaustive, so the food is the most important part of the journey. A nutritional meal per day will cost Rs. 200-300 per day. Total cost will be Rs. 24,000-36,000 for four months.

Balance funds will be used miscellaneously on poor people in hospitals while travelling and details of every individual will be posted.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your love and support.

I wanted to share that I have reached Tripura and would be traveling in northeast India with limited connectivity for next few days. During this time only I would be going to Nepal and Bhutan as well.

In these regions, I would need your support to arrange my stay and travel to reach Delhi by 14 June as I have been called by health ministry to attend one event on World's Blood Donors' Day.

Looking forward for your kind support.

Hello Everyone,

I have reached Kolkata and this is going to be the last leg of the walk. I am heading to East which may take weeks and from there I would be heading back home to Delhi.

My plan is to reach Delhi before World Blood Donors Day i.e. 14 June. Please support the cause as you have been in last few months to make my efforts worthy enough to conclude my mission.

Keep supporting and keep spreading my message to donate blood.
