In the summer of 2016, a few members including Nitin Bharti, Nitin Mahajan, Deepesh Jangpangi,Manoj Sharma and Deepak Kumar Maurya etc. went to Rishikesh for enjoying adventures, They all were visited in Badal Village which is situated 3km above to Shivpuri (Rafting Point) they saw the mostly villagers were migrated to Rishikesh from there due to child’s education because there was no good school into that village then they all were think of ways in which they could play a role in the development of India, the country of their origin. These young people shared the belief that education is a critical requisite and an effective catalyst for social and economic change in India. Basic education became the agenda for the action group that emerged from this gathering. The group was named Shrankhla to represent the hope that had brought these individuals together and the hope that they aimed to bring into the lives of children in India. In that summer (18th May) of 2016 Shrankhla was born.
When Shrankhla planned to launch a school in badhal village that time there was no proper road even not a single way to reach school easily. Group was struggled a lot to get clean and safe road after seeing group struggle village pradhan decided to help Shrankhla to clean the road to school with the help of villagers after 4-5 months struggle Shrankhla running a school since july 2016 successfully, now there are 2 roads to school and 60 children are there in school.
Shrankhla Foundation works for education for needy children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, children with rare disabilities, disaster struck children and slum children. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered.
Estimated Budget: INR 1000000 for regulating the function of all these centers for carrying out a noble operation of serving people and giving them a better life.
