13 year old Shahid lost his biologic mother and uncle from Wilson's disease. His father screened him for Wilson's, but could not detect the disease early. Shahid's liver worsened and 15 days ago, he worsened and developed acute liver failure. Shahid was admitted to Fortis Hospital, BG road and underwent a liver transplantation as an emergency. His father has sold his property and managed to take him through the initial treatments.

The child has recovered from the surgery and is showing daily improvement. However, the long standing liver disease has led to severe malnutrition for which he requires intensive management. His hospital stay is prolonged on this reason.

The father has exhausted all his resources at present and is looking for support in the community.

Shahid is a bright kid, actively engaging with doctors and nurses and is going through all the pain with a smile in his face.
