I am M. Sai Vignesh, a 20-year-old Animal Rights Activist and founder of Almighty Animal Sanctuary.
I have been rescuing injured and sick animals since I was 15 years old and I have been fortunate enough to rescue hundreds of animals including dogs, cats, cows, bulls, buffaloes, goats and more.
I am trying to do my best in whatever way I can to help animals – be it rescuing or raising my voice against animal abusers by filing cases or raising awareness about the importance of being compassionate to animals.
In 2019, with the help of donated land from a generous person, I established Almighty Animal Sanctuary located in Tiruvallur.
Currently, we have nearly 100 rescued animals in the Sanctuary including 36 dogs, some of them are paralysed, some suffer from chronic illnesses and some are abandoned ones.
We also have around 53 cows, calves, bulls and buffaloes whom we rescued from illegal slaughtering and trafficking.
We also have rescued goats, hens and rabbits in our Sanctuary.
Current Sanctuary Situation - URGENT FUNDS NEEDED!
Running the Sanctuary is becoming TOUGH in these pandemic times, and this is an open appeal for funds from our side to establish PROPER HOUSING for our friends in fur.
Almighty Animal Sanctuary is currently home to:
53 Cows, Calves, Bulls and Buffaloes
URGENT need to construct housing for animals
Monsoon is going to start soon, and the current thatched roof cattle sheds won't be able to withstand the rains and it's thus very urgent to build GI Sheet shed with cement flooring for the 53 cattle, especially for the pregnant and injured cattle in our Sanctuary.
Also, our dog shelter is completely full and we don't have space to house any new rescues.
Due to the lack of dog kennels in the Sanctuary, I am forced to place rescued dogs in paid boarding centres which is adding a lot to the already skyrocketing monthly expenses of the Sanctuary.
We also need to build isolation treatment wards in the Sanctuary, for dogs affected with Parvo, Distemper and other contagious diseases as the survival rate of dogs affected with such diseases would increase if they are given prompt treatment and care.
So it's imperative we expand our dog shelter by building more rooms for the current dogs in foster care and for future rescues.
GI Sheet Cattle Shed with Cement Flooring to accommodate 50+ cows, calves, bulls and buffaloes: 9 Lakhs
Kennels to accommodate Rescued Dogs: 3.6 Lakhs
Isolation Ward to accommodate and treat dogs affected with contagious diseases like Parvo and Distemper: 3 Lakhs
Total cost: INR 15.6 Lakhs
We at Almighty Animal Sanctuary, never say 'no' to any animal in need. To help us keep going and to take in any more new rescues, we need YOUR help!
I am requesting each one of you to donate if possible. No amount is too small and a donation as small as ₹100 will make a huge difference for the animals. Please share this fundraiser among your circle to help us reach the target of ₹ 15.6 Lakhs by AUGUST 19th, in order to help secure housing for our animal friends during the RAINY SEASON at the Sanctuary.
You're always welcome to visit Almighty Animal Sanctuary and meet the animals when the pandemic situation resolves.
