“Doctors told the parents of Shanaya that her there is a major possibility of sight loss without conducting the operation for “Endophytic tumor”. The 1-year-old is struggling with the disease and fighting to pass every single minute with pain. On an emergency basis, doctors have conducted the tests and recommended to operate her and it requires 8-10 lakhs within 3 days. With this less time, it is almost impossible to manage this amount but this is the cost of sight and life of Baby Shanaya.”
Little Shanaya was not born with this disease but her mother has soon realized discomfort and itchiness in her eyes. Most of the time, her eyes were red and watery. However, it is a common thing that watery eyes get better on its own in babies, once the tear duct opens up. It has continued for long time and then, the itching and watery eyes got severe.
When nothing helped, we took her to the eye hospital in Hyderabad and then, we found about the actual disease. Just 3 days ago, it has been realized that Baby Shanaya was in the final stage of the eye tumor. The tumor is already in D stage and there is no way it can be resolved without operating her. Since then, her parents are trying to arrange for her operation to save her from lifelong blindness.
She cannot even walk on her own yet and when feels any discomfort in eyes, she expressed by crying hard. She has just started seeing the outside world and we look forward for the support of generous people to save her sight and life. Now, the tissues of Shanaya’s eyes has become so large that no difference can be made between her retina and sclera. Doctors said she needs the operation of her eye tumor at the earliest. Only operation can relieve her from this trauma.
We have exhausted all our resources and still, need an amount of 8-10 lakhs for her treatment. Relatives are also helping but the goal amount of operation is still very far. We are willing to everything possible to get her sight and life back and wish her a peaceful life.
