Help 15-year-old Senthil Kumar get treatment for Leukemia

Master Senthil Kumar is a 13-year-old boy born to a poor family from Gudiyatham, a small town in Tamil Nadu. He is the only child to his parents who had lost 2 previous children in infancy. Senthil was diagnosed with a high risk blood cancer, named Acute Myeloid leukemia with an underlying trilineage dysplasia, which is 100% fatal if untreated. The disease warrants 2 cycles of high dose chemotherapy followed by bone marrow transplantation and has got a cure rate of 50%. Chemotherapy has been initiated on time as soon as the diagnosis was made at Global health City, Chennai. Senthil is currently being treated for coexistent invasive fungal infection of his lungs and bacterial infection in blood with high dose antibiotics and antifungals. He is requiring platelet transfusions daily.

The family is finding it extremely difficult to bear the cost of his treatment. Any financial assistance towards his care would be much appreciated.

Dear Supporters,

We have some unfortunate news to share with you today. Senthil Kumar passed away on 22nd April. He was my third child and we lost him as well. He endured so much pain and fought so hard for his life. The disease relapsed and the blast increased within a short span of time and the doctors were treating him for the same.

Because of the relapse, the doctors suggested against the Bone Marrow Transplant. He was being administered treatment to undergo another cycle of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, his body was unable to take the stress. Your timely support and blessings ensured that he received the best care.

Thank you all for all the support, it supported us to give him the best of treatment. The funds raised via this campaign have been utilized for his treatment.  May his soul find peace. Please keep him in your prayers.
