I am raising funds on behalf of Safiya  (sister for Aftab)  a 10 year old boy who was born deaf  .Untill recently, Aftab was attending Cheshire Home - South Delhi Unit - a school for children with special needs for sign language.

Aftab is not going to school for over two months now, his  school is at a distance from his home and his parents can no longer afford a School Bus or public transport   which  is  costing near to Rs. 2000 each month.

Life can be difficult  for  millions of children like Aftab , who are deaf ,struck with poverty  and do  not have access to education. Although , he is lucky to be enrolled in one such schools #CheshireHome , which supports  educations for children with special needs for free - but there is a cost involved to sending him to school, which his mother can no longer afford !!

He regularly visits our Learning Centre at GSM Foundation, Program Taleem  and shows a keen interest in learning computers  and solving math. Our learning centre is on the Banks of River Yamuna near Jamia Nagar , New Delhi.  Belhi .  

Aftab's  sister Saifya has been studying at our Progam Taleem for over a year now. Their Father is a Daily Wage Labor and Mother worked as Domestic Help until recently - she quit , since she has been suffering through a Liver Ailment.

Aftab is a bright Child - he often visits our centre and we see  ,how his  special education is making a difference in his learning outcomes.  Hence, we decided do a fundraiser for this young boy , so we could help him get back to school.

The fundraiser will support Aftab's  mother to  cover the cost of his School Bus/ Shared Auto  and some additional expenses like Stationary, Books for Children with Special Needs.
