Kaustubh is 1st on the list for Tokyo 2020 Olympics for modern pentathlon games.
Kautubh Malbari, studies in class 12th in VPM's B.N. Bandodkar College of Science, Mumbai. He started swimming at the age of 4 and hasn't stopped paddling since. Kaustubh has won many accolades at district, state, national and even international level competitions in Biathlon (2 Km running, 500 Meter Running and again running for 2Km) and Triathle (combination of shooting, running and swimming). He has been training at the Starfish Welfare Association, Thane under the watchful eye of his Coach Mr. Kailash Akhade.
In his most notable achievements, Kaustubh bagged a Gold medal in his age group, getting a global rank of 14 at the World Biathlon Championship held in Batumi, Georgia in 2015.
Not just looking at Swimming as a sport, Kautubh has also participated in many Swimming Rescue competitions, most recently securing 3rd place in Rescue India 2016. He also loves playing Water Polo and has participated in many state and national level competitions.
After bagging a silver medal in the National Modern Pentathlon competition, Kautubh is currently attending the National camp this year, after which he can represent India in the Biathle / Triathle World Championship 2016 starting on 20th October. But the shortage of funds is posing as a problem between Kautubh and the podium at the international competition. Kaustubh comes from a middle-class family, his father, Sainath Malbari, doing everything in his power to arrange the funds needed (Rs. 2.5 Lakh, details below) . But unfortunately, he hasn't had much luck so far.
To support Kaustubh, please donate and/or share this campaign so he can represent India at the Biathle / Triathle World Championship 2016.
