Be a child's secret Santa this Christmas!

Public Health Justice (www.publichealthjustice.com) has an edu-health initiative called "Step 1 Balwadi" which focuses on child development through three tenets - clean childhood, healthy childhood and literate childhood. Established in the year 2012. Public Health Justice (PHJ) now has two centres, one at Bandra and other at Colaba. In total, we nurture around 200 children and through our awareness campaigns serve the entire community as well reaching upto 10,000 people.

Every year, we celebrate many festivals with the children, so that they learn and appreciate the richness of diversity in our country. Like every year, this year too, we are planning a surprise Christmas party for the kids at our two centers. What's new this time that is we have started a fun program called "Secret Santa" which helps the privileged people in the community connect with less privileged children in the community and foster a bond of care and friendship. The idea of "Secret Santa" is you contribute a small amount which we use to arrange a Christmas party and Christmas gift. We have also arranged for Santa to come and meet the children. In case some folks want to bring their children to come and mingle with the children in the community, they are welcome to do so. You can be a "Secret Santa" for one child by donating only one hundred rupees. If you wish to be "Secret Santa" for more children, you can donate in multiples of 100. We will use this donation to procure party snacks,party games and gifts for children. Each child will receive a colouring book and crayons. This gift will help us teach vocabulary of colours, help with the fine motor skills of child as he or she learns how to colour and also at the same time stimulate the child's creativity. In this way, you are helping us make Christmas full of fun and frolic for the children and also enhancing their skills.

On receipt of the donation, we will send you a receipt and also the photograph of the child with the gift he or she received from you.
