Just as with humans, animals face emergencies that require urgent rescue and veterinary care to save them.

MAX, a homeless dog met with an accident, hit by a vehicle and had prolapsed of the right eye. He was in severe pain and was struggling in the road with vision in one eye. He was lying on the side of road for two days without any food and care and was rescued. He was given immediate veterinary care.

There are many homeless animals injured, sick, terminally ill, neglected, abused left on the streets suffer. These animals with lack of food and medical care are at risk of pain, distress and death.

SCAN FOUNDATION remains committed to making life better for homeless animals whose lives are affected by non animal lovers and nature. Through our Animal rights and welfare awareness campaigns, we have been able to make a positive impact on the lives of many people in our community who are living with social responsibilities.

Our Animal Emergency Centre & Specialty Services operate in Puducherry  to provide emergency services , to improve health condition for all companion animals, obtain basic vaccinations and spay/neuter services for homeless animals .Our specialized veterinary team providing urgent medical care to homeless animals regardless of the time of day. Our experienced team of veterinarians  provide immediate, first class veterinary care.

At present there is no 24/7 animal ambulance facility in Puducherry.
