    This fundraiser will benefit

    Nikith

    from Hyderabad, Telangana

A few days back dated October 2017, a 2-year-old  boy name Nikith was diagnosed with low platelets count and  fever. But, the child was  treated for dengue for 5 days by a local doctor in Karimnagar. Then, the parents were suggested to move to Rainbow hospital Hyderabad, where he was diagnosed with Dengue like illness and blood infection, called Sepsis. What is Sepsis ?
Sepsis is caused by the body’s defense system (immune system) working overtime to fight infection. It’s sometimes called septicemia.
The large number of chemicals released into the blood during this process trigger widespread inflammation. This can lead to organ damage. Blood clotting during sepsis reduces blood flow to limbs and vital organs. This deprives them of nutrients and oxygen. In severe cases, one or more organs may fail.
Bacteria gets into the bloodstream and causes a serious infection in an organ such as the kidneys or lungs, or in the bone. Sepsis can be treated with antibiotics, if detected early or it can be lethal.

Nikith, a 2 year old is suffering and has severe pain. He is advised to undergo treatment till cure. Now his platelets count has decreased below 25,000 ( about 4 times below the normal range). Even platelets infusion could not help to maintain normal range, which is essential for complete recovery on treatment as per Doctors.

NIKITH needs this treatment at the earliest before his condition becomes even more critical. The treatment costs around 2 to 3 lakh Rs. Unfortunately, Nikith 's father, SRINIVASA (daily wage coolli), only earns a 200 to 300 Rs as a daily wage and cannot afford the cost of treatment. He is extremely worried that without the funds his Son will not get better.
