Save Pavithra - Gastroenterology surgery for 5-year girl

Thank you for your immense response and your kind heart. As you all know that a girl child #Pavithra of #5years is suffering with internal bleeding and is living by infusing blood units with which she can live for 3days. Her condition is very dreadful and the cure f0r it can b known by making a test called #Conventional_angiography_with_whole_bowel_endoscopy which is a costly test worth more than thousands and is available only in a limited hospitals. And friends her father is a labour who earns daily #150Rs and the whole treatment worth nearly #8 lakhs. Till now the girls father N.Dasthagiri sold all his properties and took loans and spent 2lakhs 10thousand for her treatment. By watching this some frnds have come forward to help by raising funds. I thank them all a lot and I wish everyone else help her as u can. Now She is in #Ankura_Hospitals_Madinaguda. I thank everyone who have helped till now and I wish more brothers and sisters come forward to save a child...daughter...sister.

She is admitted in Ankura hospital, Madinaguda since past 9 days but doctors have not been able to diagnose the exact cause. She is surviving on blood transfusion every 3 days. She can be saved with right guidance and treatment. Please see the attached prescription and advice next steps. This is an effort to ensure that the poor child should get cured and not suffer due to lack of education, right information and funds.

Her current hospital bill is taken care by Ankura hospital. The hospital has advised that she should get  admitted in Asian institute of gastroenterology somajiguda. But poor parents are contemplating of taking her back due to lack of funds. Hospital staff has a person from their village and they are advising him that funds may not be a problem if good Samaritans can come forward and help.

They are stating that the advised diagnostic test - CONVENTIONAL ANGIOGRAPHY WITH WHOLE BOWEL ENDOSCOPY would cost 1.8 lakhs at Asian institute of gastroenterology. And if there is subsequent surgery this may cost more 3-4 lakhs. Some funds may be arranged from charity and other NGOs. But without clear diagnostics no NGO would help. So they are collecting some money through small donations right now.

Dear all,

We are glad to inform you that Pavithra has recovered considerably. Folks from Colourful Butterflies Foundation (NGO) visited Pavithra at her village in Lingal and met with the family. Please see the photos attached below.

Pavithra with her family

About the condition of the Padmanapalli village -
The village is in the interior parts of Nagarkurnool district with a population of about 1000 people. The village has open drainage and lacks cleanliness. Mostly all kids and elders did not wear chappal while around their houses. When the volunteers from Colourful Butterflies foundation spoke with local villagers and youth, they said that diseases like Malaria, Dengue, Stomach aches are common.

As discussed in the previous updates, we plan to conduct a Medical awareness camp at this village to educate villagers about worm infestation in kids like Pavithra. Accordingly, I am working with Colourful Butterflies foundation and Ankura Hospital to make this happen. The tentative dates are 25th Nov and 29th Nov. We do plan to arrange to and fro transportation between Madinaguda, Hyderabad and Padmanapalli village (about 180 kms one way).
Please note that the dates are tentative.
We will send more updates once we finalize the details of the event. Also for people who are interested to join us for the camp, please send me an email on virag.shah@gmail.com
