My brother met with an major road accident underwent surgery in Sparsh hospital and now is undergoing treatment in Suvitas SuVitas - Rehabilitation Center in Domlur, Bangalore.
A calm and composed young man V. Basvaraju (Fondly called Mayura at home and neighborhoods), working at Red Bus is shy, reserved and doesn't visit even relatives much, On a fateful day 17th November he decided to take a ride to his uncle's hometown some 60 kms from Bangalore to attend attend a family function. At 7:15 am On the highway Basavaraju stopped nearby a tea shop to update his journey to his mother. He had stopped the bike removed the helmet and was talking to his mother on phone on the pavement.
Unfortunately a speeding mini truck (goods auto) hit him and pushed him and fell on his left causing a grievous head and face injury. Some how the shop keeper and passerby alerted the Ambulance and he was shifted to the nearby Sparsh Hospital where Doctors under the guidance of (Sur. Shivakumar)learnt him to have consciousness and performed the necessary BLS / surgery.
During the surgery he was in coma but now he gained consciousness however he cannot speak, his right eye and surrounding is completed damaged and his left part of the body is not responding. Only hope they have his he moves his eyes and responds to his loved ones by communicating and touching through the right hand and leg.
Basavararju my brother met with a major accident battling for life in Sparsh Hospital.
"All I want now is my son to move his hands and talk to me. I keep looking at him all the time, willing him to speak and move a finger or a toe on his left side . When it happens, it is as if God is giving me a sign, that eventually everything will be ok. My worry is about having enough to get him through this phase.” Varalakshmi. -Mother.
Basavaraju has had multiple surgeries to treat his injuries in head and face. However, with the trauma he has suffered, he needs to be in the ICU for a few weeks. The family cannot afford this treatment. Varalakshmi and brother Charan and close relatives does not know where to begin on this journey to save her Son.
Your support can help this young man recover from a trauma that nearly stole him from his family. The total treatment costs crossed over 15 Lakhs (and may go up) of which they have been able to pay 11 Lakhs. All their savings and sources have been exhausted and they are looking for help from others. Hence, would like to request a contribution from your side if you are willing to help.
