Baby Vishal (name changed)  was 18 months old when we found him suffering from severe acute malnutrition in a remote tribal community in Rajasthan. He is now recovering and responding to treatment at a Government Malnutrition Treatment Center (MTC) for the past one month.

The approaching winter sounds a death knell to newborns such as baby Vishal who are suffering from acute malnutrition. Low temperatures can be harsh on their depleted bodies making them prone to fatal conditions such as hypothermia and pneumonia. This emergency situation needs our collective efforts to ensure that not a single child in our country falls prey to malnutrition.

We are appealing  for your support to provide 200 such malnourished children with an Infant care kit "Prarambh" which contains a set of essential bedding, clothing and hygiene items such as blankets, baby soap, baby oil, disinfectant, mosquito net, pediatric thermometer and other essential items.

The kit, that costs Rs. 1500/-, makes sure that malnourished children do not fall prey to the severe winter. Let us give them a strong start in their lives and ensure they have a safe winter.
