Maa: It means Mother!
Her Story will break your heart as it surely broke mine!
In India, cows are thought to be sacred, or deeply respected. They are held in high esteem are worshipped. One Hindu Goddess is usually shown in the form of a cow: Bhoomi. She represents the Earth! However, this all seems like a cruel joke when we end up rescuing Cows like "Maa" who are used and abused and neglected their whole life and when of no use are dumped on roads to fend for themselves!
Maa was found collapsed, hardly breathing, burning with fever with a uterine prolapse infested with deadly flesh-eating maggots! Difficult calving that causes injury or irritation of the external birth canal, severe straining, or excessive force applied when pulling an oversize calf can cause a uterine prolapse. A prolapse could prove fatal if not treated promptly!
I can't even begin to fathom the brutal agony and pain Maa went through, all because of the selfishness of humans!
Maa has been admitted to SMART Sanctuary and her treatment has been started. Vets put her at a critical stage as her fever is not going down!
SMART Sanctuary houses 65 plus sick and injured dogs and have reserved special space for Maa in their garden with Gajodhar the abandoned calf. They are already struggling to make the ends meet with the high number of rescues they do on a daily basis.
I am counting on all of you to save Maa.

So everyday expenses are more than Rs.1800/-
Please give Maa a second chance at life and prove to those cruel abandoners that they will pay for their Karma while Maa lives on!
