Help Sayantan Ray From Nerist Get Back On His Feet
Sayantan Ray (33yrs), a Cognizant associate based out of Kolkata, a NERIST Alumni from India and a very dear friend is struggling to survive in R.N. Tagore Hospital in Kolkata.
He is admitted there from the last 10 days with severe Cerebral attack. After an initial brain surgery to remove the clotted bloods, he is kept in ventilation till now. Doctors are trying out medication and procedures to get him back to senses.
It is really a struggle time for his family. While he is fighting for life (very critical and medical expense is approximately INR 50000/day or $900/day), on the other side, his dad expired yesterday (11/23/2017) with severe kidney problem after a long battle of 1 and half months (approximately).

They had insurance to cover the expenses, but it is also exhausted. Now his family members and us (extended family) should come forward to cover the expenses and liabilities. So, as a friend and college mates, we would like to stand beside his family and help them as much as possible.
This thanksgiving, let’s pray for his survival and extend our help. Let’s try to assure his family that they are not alone, we are to support Sayantan.

Dear Supporters,
Here is an update on Sayantan.
Currently, Sayantan is on the ventilator and is undergoing dialysis every two days. 80% of his left brain is not responding and hence his creatine level is 10 and potassium level is high.
The doctors are waiting for his creatine level to come down to 3 or 4 so that they can do a blood test for further examination. They suspect that there might be an internal infection as he is having fever since yesterday night. The further treatment procedures will be conducted once the creatine level drops.
Thank you for your support and love for Sayantan. Please keep him in your prayers.
Regards,
Somraj

Dear Supporters,
Thank you for all the support you have shown Sayantan so far. He is showing improvement but since his brain has been affected the improvement is slow. He is on ventilator support and is unconscious.
His left brain was not responding earlier but is slowly regaining and showing support. His creatinine level is high and he is undergoing dialysis twice a day. His creatinine level is on a reducing trend and it is an improvement as his creatinine level has to reduce before the doctors can change the treatment.
He will be on ventilator support for a few days until his health stabilizes further. Based on his response to the treatment the doctors will be suggesting the future course of action. Will keep you posted.
Thank you all once again for all the support you have shown him. Would request you to please pray for his health and speedy recovery. Do share this campaign further with your friends and family.
