Yes, he has a congenital heart defect for which he has been operated twice at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bengaluru, during 2012 and 2015.
To have any chance of survival into adulthood, he now needs another heart operation - a rare operation called Fontan Procedure ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontan_procedure ). Doctors at Narayana have advised the operation to be done as soon as possible because he has bouts of blue-skin, breathlessness and chest pain often.
Considering that Tejeshwaran's parents ( father is a carpenter and mother a housewife) are hardly in a position to afford his treatment, Narayana had done the earlier operations at subsidized rates. For the Fontan procedure the estimated costs are INR 3,26,500 ( subsidized again) for which the parents need your help.
