I am fund raising for baby Manik Dhar. He is only 1 year 9 months old. His father Mr. Madhav Dhar is a daily wage worker. His family is Below Poverty Line, but they don’t have BPL card too. His residence address is Dhupchara, Ranir Bazar, West Tripura.

The left eye ball of the baby started turning white starting from the month of March this year. Seeing this, his parents took him to the IGM Hospital, Agartala on 29^th April. But the doctors of that hospital asked his parents to take him outside Tripura since there was no treatment for such complicated eye condition in that state. Hearing this, his parents took him to Silchar for better treatment since it is the only place near Agartala which has better treatment facilities. To take him there, his parents loaned money from many people with a hope that their kid can see with his eyes again. After doing several medical tests, the doctors of Silchar hospital put a plastic eye by a surgery and released him. They stayed almost a month in Silchar for his treatment and hence spent all their savings and came back to Tripura. But after 15-20 days, the plastic eye came out. As a result he got an infection and gradually the flesh of the eye started coming out. So his parents took him to IGM hospital again. After 10 days of treatment in IGM hospital, he got referred to Cancer Hospital. But the doctors of Cancer Hospital again asked his parents to take him outside Tripura for better treatment. But it became impossible for his parents to take him outside Tripura again due to their miserable financial condition. As a result the boy is counting his last days without treatment in his home.

I am a Software Engineer who works in Ericsson, Bangalore. The boy belongs to my native place Tripura. The incident come to a popular local daily named “Dainik Sambad” on 6^th September 2015. Seeing this news me and my friends decided to raise fund for this poor kid. We have already collected 50,000 rupees for his treatment. But the actual amount required for his treatment is much more than that. We have decided to send this kid along with his family once the amount got collected. Hence, please help us in raising fund for this poor ill fated kid.
