Hello everyone,

My 6-year-old Akansha needs an urgent Brain surgery.

On 3rd March, she suddenly had a high fever. I immediately took her to the doctor who prescribed some medicines. She showed signs of improvement and we were relieved. But within a week, her conditions deteriorated and when taken to another doctor, we had to get our daughter admitted.

After undergoing series of tests, the doctor told us that one of her lungs were not functioning properly. We, as parents, were devastated to hear this. I was taking care of Akansha while my wife Archana was looking after our 9-month-old twins - Samriddhi and Aditya.

Without any hesitation, we shifted Akansha to Apollo Delhi on 9th March. The only thing that kept us going was her treatment. She is still admitted and the doctors have advised her to undergo a brain surgery at the earliest. Since the water accumulation is continuing in her brain, she needs to be operated in the coming week itself.

The doctors have given an estimate of 10 lakhs currently for the surgery. However, this might increase if the complications are more.

I am an employee in one of the private banks in India, and currently based in Delhi for the last 4 years. However, taking care of the entire family is becoming extremely challenging.
