Proposed project “Sustaining Agriculture Base Livelihood by Women Action-SABLA” has been planned to scale-up in other underdeveloped area of block Harringtonganj, district Faizabad. It has been planned to promote and establish agriculture as sustainable livelihood by involving to women’s collectives. Harringtonganj block is one of most backward and remote area of district Faizabad. Entire area of this block is purely rural. Livelihood is major challenging factor of development for the people have small landholding for agriculture. They use their small land for only paddy and wheat crops and in traditional pattern.  It is difficult to them to maintain their food securities by this. Men’s of these families are forced to migrate for seeking employment. There is no any other income generation option for them to run and full fill basic needs of their families. Women from these families are struggling for survival of families by non-profitable agriculture and labor work.
 SATHI-UP is working with communities of similar geographies, social & economical condition to promote agriculture as sustainable livelihood by involving new agriculture technologies. The experiences and reflection of program model encouraged to SATHI to scale-up this in other underdeveloped area. This program model learning’s will contribute in next intervention and address the need of communities a) Entitlements realization b) Food security and c) sustainable livelihood option.
A WFRC (Women Farmer Resource Center) will be established at each Gram Panchayats level for facilitating and providing tools and techniques to women farmers.  Project will work with both level as agriculture intervention for food security by enhancing productivity of staple food crops and intervention for income enhancement by enhancing return from unit area. Input plan for staple crops is to promote paddy and wheat crops by SRI-System of Rice Intensification and promotion of pulses crop. Input plan for enhancement of return from unit area is promoting high income crops model 1) Intensive vegetable cultivation through Machan Model 2) Promotion of Tissue culture Banana Cultivation 3) Promotion of other high income crops Like- Onion, Tomato, Flowers etc.
