Swastik Vidyalay
Sarvoday Shiksha Mandal was formed in 1981 by like minded people from Priol village. The first step towards its mission was to start Swastik Vidyalay, a secondary school in 1982 with a strength of 36 students. It grew gradually and attained the status of a full fledged secondary school imparting education to children from villages in the vicinity up to S.S.C.E.
It started operations in a small house and continued to operate in barracks for several years. The strength of the school is dwelling between 200 to 230 students. The school shifted to new premises in 2005.
The school has always performed better than the overall results of Goa Board for S.S.C.E. and its meritorious students have excelled in career after graduating from the school. The school is focused on overall development of students and its students have excelled in sports and cultural activities and brought laurels for themselves and the School.

Primary & Pre-primary School
It was observed that the villagers have to transport their kids to a distance of 6-8 km. for quality education at Primary and Pre-primary level. With an objective of imparting quality education at Primary and Pre-primary level within the village so that the parents are relieved from the everyday burden of taking their children to far off schools, Sarvoday Shiksha Mandal has started the Primary and Pre-primary school since 2013-14.
The education provided in the school is not limited to academics and equal focus is given to overall development of the child in terms of socio-cultural, physical, aspects and cultivating nationalist values in the children. The response from villagers to this school is increasing year by year and the present premises of the school have become insufficient in catering to the needs of growing number of students. The Mandal has taken up an ambitions project of building an annexure to the existing building to accommodate growing number of students in the school.

As a part of the development of the school, the institution wishes to power the school building with solar electricity thereby ensuring continuity of power supply and avoiding disruptions in the school operation because of power outages and also contribute towards the environment by improving the carbon footprint of the institution. The management appeals to the donors to donate generously towards this noble cause.
