As aspirants of Rural Developement and appreciators of Social Entrepreneurs, we the students of Tata Insitiute of Social Sciences, came up with the concept of Samadhan. Samadhan strives to provide a platform to the underprivileged to present their problems which can be converted into optimum and sustainable solutions for them. We create a platform where urban youth can interact with the rural youth and help them in whatever manner possible. We try to tap the underutilized human resources of the Rural Sector to merge it with the skillsets and information of the urban to create a sustainable mix when it comes to problem solving.
As we are a bunch of students thriving to be the change makers, we are open to accepting aids from any institution which believes in our cause to promote Rural Development. Making the best use of the technological resources around us, we will keep the contributors posted on the allocation of funds. You can find us on our website and contribute in whatever way possible, and we assure you, that the funds will be used in the most optimum manner possible.
Q: How do we function?
A: We have identified 10 different projects, GRAMDOOTS, in the Marathwada Region of Maharashtra. These projects cater to long term problems like waste management, lack of water, depleting forest cover etc. A team of specialists carefully selected these 10 projects and tamed them to convert them into sustainable solutions. We follow the strategy of 'Your problem, your solution.'
Q: How will we know where our funds are being allocated?
A: We will update the financial spendings on our portal and will keep you posted personally also through the web
Q: Why do we want funds?
A: We aim at developing a youth forum and a Gram Swaraj Network through which we will be the middlemen. We will act as facilitators and assist the needy with the desired fund for the completion of their dream projects making their village a sustainable village.
So through these funds, we will help change the lives of 10 villages of Maharashtra. Because, 'together.. We can grow faster.. '
