For all those who don't know who Vishnu Vardhan is, he is a social entrepreneur running Indian Superheroes(ISH) and Plantcil.
With ISH he works with over 840 plus organic farmers and enabling them to do low-cost value additions and upsell to the customers directly via both online(http://indianorganic.store/) and offline channels.
With Plantcil he makes cool eco-friendly pencils that have got fantastic receptions both from kids and parents alike(www.plantcil.com).
He works for the betterment of the society, sustainability of the future and with the smile on his face always, he has inspired thousands of farmers and kids to take an uncommon path.
What happened:
Vishnu and his team had just completed a highly successful Kidathon event on Sunday 15th of October, where ISH and Plantcil were the key attraction for the event. We had outsold our stock in one hour flat! Take a look at the crowd we brought in.
Take a look at the prize distribution
While returning back home from the event in his car, all of a sudden a kid ran onto the road from his right. He swerved to the left losing control and slammed into a huge pile of cement that was left on the roadside by construction workers. Since the car had no provisions for airbags, he slammed into the steering wheel and suffered multiple fractures.
The upper jaw and lower jaw was completely dislodged and most of his teeth were broken and fractured. His right hand is also fractured.The kid is safe :)
What Next:
He was immediately shifted to a hospital's emergency ward, where he has now undergone urgent arch bar stabilisation surgery. He may have to undergo further dental surgeries, gum sutures, root canal operations to get back to a better condition. He cannot speak and only liquids are injected into him. He would take at least six to eight weeks to get back to normal.
Why this fundraiser:
Vishnu's never been the one to ask for any help nor sympathy.He has always been his own man and lived life on his own terms.This fundraise will help him get back on his feet and on the ground helping changing the lives of thousands of organic farmers.
