The SUKHAD project aims at distributing sanitary kits to women in rural areas so that they can maintain their hygiene during menstruation but not only this they also provided them with the opportunity to earn a living by making eco-friendly bags for disposing off the pads.
Menstruation has always been a taboo in India, and the initiative taken by the Humari Pahchan NGO fights this age-old belief and allows the underprivileged women to not only embrace their periods(and bodies) but also teaches them to not to be ashamed of it. Periods are natural and important.
Sukhad project will help us in eradicating the taboo related to menstrual hygiene and we will try to educate maximum people about periods. This year we aim to distribute 50,000 sukhad kits.
Per kit price: Sukhad kit for 1 woman = Rs. 1,400/-
Sukhad kits for 5 women = Rs 7,000/-
24 packets of sanitary pad
6 packets of soap
Disposable paper envelopes.
Remember your each and every contribution be it how small it is, is empowering a woman with the knowledge to combat the social issue and will lead a path of dignity by becoming self-reliant.
I humbly request all, to help us spread the word of this noble cause to a wider range of people. And don't forget The more you share,
the more we save.
