Rice Bucket Challenge Rice Distribution

Rice bucket challenge we started back in 2014 with minimum quantity of 5000kg of rice which we distributed among the slum dwellers and ragpickers family .
We ended up collecting 39,000 kg of rice last year 2016 and distributing 5kg each / per family .
This initiative is started by Tauseef Rahman in Kolkata as he met Shri Manju Kalanidhi who is the founder of rice bucket challenge from Bangalore !
Since then there is no looking back and this year with the help of online donation we are looking forward to break the record of distributing 50,000 kg of rice in one day under one roof !
So we will be glad if our supporters come forward and take this initiative to the next level ,as without them this can't be possible !
So I request everyone to come forward and donate generously as these people need us and our support ,any amount anyone can contribute as each penny counts for us !

Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for the support and love.

Last year he again distributed 19,000 kg of rice in association with the Kolkata-based NGO Tiljala Shed.

This year’s donation, his third so far, was the biggest, with online retailer Big Basket and seven to eight other local people contributing rice. Even as the distribution started, the contributions of rice kept coming in till the last minute. The queue of recipients seemed endless and there were hiccups like the polythene carry bags tearing under the weight of the rice — 5 kg a person. The recipients had been identified earlier and given a slip of paper each, which they produced on the day of distribution.

In Kolkata, Tauseef handled the entire event and plans,The owner or Taj Leather Works Shafique Abedin came into the picture and supported the cause with a donation of rice and gave place to store the rice which was really high in quantity and also provided the transportation.

Sofia Abbas DY Magistrate and DY Collector was present in this Event to become as one of the witness !
Mohammad Tauseef Rahman have offically got registered in Limca book of records officially with the biggest distribution of rice in India so far which is again offically 39,000 of Rice.

Thanks
