Education is a precious thing that you can gift a child as it help them to become better citizens, be independent and they will be better informed with their rights as well. Some charitable organisations like NGO comes forward to meet the desires of the children who have no access to the education.

Hi, I'm Renisha Rajendran, a chemical engineering graduate and a social worker as well. I'm here to make you aware of the tough situation that an underprivileged child may go through.

Only half the population in India have the access to internet. As the covid 19 hit the world so hard, the lockdown enforced to stop the virus spread to an extend but put 91% of students out of school. Out of these, underprevileged children are at highest risk of never returning to the classroom. Around 320 million people have been affected by the online classes due to the inaccessible resources.

Many individuals assumes that education is unlimited and have easy access but it's actually not. Across the world, more than 72 million children are not able to gain access to an adequate education. Not receiving an education can have huge negative impact of an individual's voice and hinder the development of the skills that is vital to represent oneself. The other consequences of lack of education are unemployment, difficulty raising children. Ultimately, lacking access to proper education puts the children in the risk of poverty trap. In order to avoid these consequences it is essential to take action to increase the access of education

How can we implement

1) Rent a small van or mini bus to start a mobile school

2) Start a class right inside your living room: when you return from office early, you can get the unprivileged children from around your neighborhood inside your living room and conduct classes right there. You can ask any other willing neighbors of you to being a part and help the students in different subjects and activities.

3) Setup a small training unit to teach skills to children: if you are good at specific skills, start a unit in your locality where children can come and learn the skills from you. Ensure the skills you teach are appropriate for the child's age.

4) Make them accessible to the online classes by providing the right resources like mobile phones, laptops etc.
