    This fundraiser will benefit

    Dileep Issac

    from Peringave, Thrissur Kerala

My name is Nidhish Thimothy and I am originally from Kerala. I’m currently residing and working in Pune.
Myself, family and my friends are raising this fund to help my maternal uncle, Dileep (Kunjachan) who along with his wife and kids who has lost their homes to this terrifying flood. The funds will be used to reconstruct the house and to habitat at least 2 rooms functioning with basic necessities.
The plan is to withdraw the collected amount by me and to deposit directly to Mr. Dileep Issac in his bank account. He is the beneficiary of this fund and is the head of the family. The pictures of the collapsed house are shown above. He is the only source of income for his family and for the above destroyed home.
We all by now, know how bad the situations are. The rains in the state of Kerala, have been a major cause of pain and misery. Out of 14, 13 districts were under red alert. The rains have ceased now which were continuously pouring with days in line. More than 30 dams and reservoirs were opened because of overcapacity limit, coupled with this, the water from the mountains also impacted the area. Flooding /Landslides is rampant and many people have lost their lives and property. Roughly 500 + people have lost their lives, 1500+ people are missing, 1500+ homes are destroyed and around 300000 people are in shelters/camps. The local crowd along with fishermen were the first source of help, saving many lives along with all the other rescue teams.
As soon as the water started filling the house, my uncle along with everyone in there, escaped from this house which was in Peringavu, Thrissur district. With the biggest grace of almighty, showing then a sigh for them to vacate the house. The second day the house collapsed, destroying everything. They are not financially sound and struggle to make their ends meet. Roughly 12000 INR is their monthly income for the family. Children are school going in startup grades. They all escaped before the house collapsed, but they have lost their only property and whatever little they had.
The intention is to raise some fund to build them at least two rooms in the property, with basic necessities after removing the collapsed structure. Drinking water is through well which is now contaminated with all the debris that needs to be cleaned and restored. The situation is pathetic, government help is the hope for now but with so many people in the list, its leaves with mere hope and in a prolonged way. My humble request to all of you is to contribute any small amounts as much ₹100 so that we all can help this family back into the livelihood. The construction cost currently in India is skyrocketed and it's tough for a family to support unless they are financially sound at least to start with. This house was more than 50 years of age and was built when the materials and cost that were cheaply available. Situations have changed now, and the cost has increased drastically.
Please help for a noble cause of humanity as much as you can and for many other families.
